Sponsor Love and Thanks!

I'd like to thank my two new sponsors. Make sure you check out their wonderful blogs

Kendra Kantor is an art journalist who does amazing work. My favorite posts are the Color Inspirations, where she takes gorgeous photos and pulls the predominate colors out of them; great for artists, quilters, knitters, home decor, and the list goes on. When I saw her page initially, I told her that we have similar aesthetic tastes, so if you like this blog, you're going to find a new one to like in Like A Bird.

Kamika Krafts is one of the coolest fashion blogs I've run into in a long time (come on, look at her button - she's cool!). She is starting her own journal project (but it's a bit different than Sandra's!) and has many other art journal projects from the past, gives some great styling advice(love), features cool music (love), photography (which is great and fun), and tutorials (yes, tutorials!). She's also got a great Flickr photostream and fun Tweets, but to read those, you have to check out her cool page!

Thanks, Jenna for including my Linus the Cat card in your newest etsy treasury, For Ohio, By Ohio, From Ohio! I've talked about Jenna's cool jewelry on here before - we actually own a guitar string bracelet that rotates between my daughter and teenage guitar playing son (it is really so beautiful!). You aren't going to have to sell a kidney to afford her pieces, so please, help out a friend of mine and check out her etsy store!

And that reminds me! I have some new cards in the store including a really cool snowman and snowy garden angel - Christmas is around the bend - think about it!

He

Photobucket

I am attempting to keep a journal. Some pages are about my day, many are contemplative. I try to incorporate art, sketching, etc. This entry grew around the picture of the loaves and fish.

He

::tore the veil
::rose from the grave and ascended to Heaven where he sits at the right hand of God
::turned water into wine
::fed 5,000 with just a few loaves and fishes - and had left overs
::said that the meek shall inherit the earth - they are blessed
::drove demons from the possessed into swine
::said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
::upturned the money changers tables at the Temple
::raised his friend Lazarus from the dead
::made a new covenant with his body and his blood
::taught the rabbis at 13
::carried the cross - bruised, beaten, torn flesh, bleeding - through the streets of Jerusalem
::lived 33 years but gave us life eternal
::said that God would provide

Photobucket

::ate with prostitutes and tax collectors
::said that for everything there is a season - to laugh, cry, be born, and die
::walked on water
::healed the hemorrhaging woman based only on her faith
::rode into Jerusalem to palm strewn streets on a donkey
::appeared to his friends on the road to Emmaus so that they may truly see
::Took the burden, even though he wanted Abba to take it away
::told of The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan
::took water from the unclean woman at the well, much to her surprise
::was worshipped by Magi and shepherds alike, and followed by a star
::took the most brash of the disciples and turned him into the leader of the church
::let Judas betray him
::ascended the mountain to speak with Abraham and Elijah
::said "Look at the lilies of the field. Even Solomon in all of his glory couldn't measure up to their beauty."
::resisted temptation from the dark prince while fasting in the desert
::taught us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
