Photos: Dublin Cemetary

Follow my blog with bloglovin

Dublin Cemetary (in Ohio) is a historical cemetary with headstones dating back to when the area was founded in the early 1800's. In the oldest parts of the cemetary headstones are made of limestone and are organized by lettered markers in the ground. The cemetary is also full of flowers and blooming trees. It is a beautiful, peaceful place.

Erin,

Beautiful images of Dublin Cemetery. Old Dublin is a beautiful community. I have spent plenty of time in the newer part of Dublin at the Ohio Society of CPA's office for committee meetings and conferences so I know the area well. :)

Best,
Lois

My oldest daughter Katie used to prefer cemeteries to parks, which seemed kind of strange until I realized that they're so peaceful, and quiet, and beautiful, and not frivolous. That's how I would describe her, too. When we lived in Fredericksburg, VA, some of the cemeteries told such incredible stories. I love those lettered markers in the Dublin Cemetery, I've never seen them anywhere else.

Not sure how I stumbled on your blog, but I'm glad I did! We have much in common, except you're a better photographer than I, and I was never a pediatrician. Other than that - if we lived closer I'm certain we'd be friends. Enjoyed your blog.

Great pictures. Thank you for sharing. I find a cemetery can be some of the most peaceful thought provoking places to be. There is one by my house and I wander through it every other day. You can't escape the question, "What is my destiny?"

How interesting, I was tempted today to go visit an old cemetery nearby my house and look for civil (or revolutionary) war graves, but decided to do it tomorrow. it's a lovely place ~ peaceful ~ thought-provoking ~ like your photos here of dublin cemetery. :)

I love cemeteries. They are so peaceful. I was taking photos in one recently, but mine didn't turn out nearly as well as yours did. These are lovely.

Beautiful pics!
I visited Dublin a few years ago, but I didn't get a change to go to the cemetery. I'm sure it's beautiful, if its anything like your pictures
Happy New Friend Friday!

Erin,
I'm here this morning reading and soaking up all this blog beauty.

I don't want to gush on every post, but certainly want to take the time to read enough to get to "know " you.

Your family is gorgeous , love your profiles on them.
I am already stunned at how you find time to do all of this!! I struggled to find any time for pursuit of things that feed a soul when my children were younger. Kudos to you.

Your photos are unbelievable. I am so inspired by people who actually know what they are doing with a camera. I cheat and fiddle after , but it's absolutely on my list of things to conquer this summer.

Anyway... I hope you are mostly on the mend from the poison ivy. I cannot believe that someone would intentionally plant the stuff, let alone for the reasons you said. What a sad person.
