Happy Blues

I am having a "now why did I decide to have a toddler?" day today. His favorite word now is "no," even if he means yes. He has learned to whine, he threw his food across the room at lunch, and has had two HUGE fits. There was a point when I wanted to drive him out into the country and kick him out the door. But then I'd miss him, and if the police found out, I'd go to prison. Yeah, there's that.

GAH!

So I have We Heart It finds today. the theme is "Happy Blues." Enjoy!

Hi Erin,

Oh, yes, I remember the little ones being "so much fun" when they were toddlers. ;) It does get better, though, as I am sure you know. Or, is it that they just get bigger. Ha!

Luv,
Lois

Good luck with the kiddo! I don't have kids yet but they are coming soon. Maybe you should just join him too and throw your lunch across the room. It might be fun. He could know something you don't! (which is probably that he isn't the one that has to clean it up :) ha ha.

Anyways, love the happy blues post. I bet that's how you're feeling today. Happy to be a mom and have a wonderful kid, but blue to have him be in his terrible twos.

Beautiful photos...

Oh and when my toddlers drove me crazy ~ I gave myself a time out. Escaped for 5 min in another room to search for my sanity (oh, and patience).

Much love to you today :)

Believe me, it does get better. :) Even though on these types of days it doesn't seem like it. When my little one was around that age, I read a book, Parenting a Strong Willed Child. It was rather eye opening. I learned to step over her little raging body when she was having a fit on the floor and walk into another room. That seemed to stop it all pretty quickly. :)

Erin,
thank you so much for visiting my blog and the sweet comments.
I am way behind in reading...
I want to come here when I have a good chunk of time.
know that I will later this week.

Oh dear, I remember those days...they pass all too soon, but it's tough when you are in the middle. But then grandchildren come and you smile and hand them back to their mother when they do that....Keep your chin up and go to the park alot to wear him out (if it ever stops raining!)

Gorgeous "blue" post...my son's favorite color. Trust me you wouldn't want to do that with your kiddo, it's just one of those days and he loves you I am sure.

^-^

At least you turned the blues into happy ~ kudos for that! Trust me, my crumb tests my patience daily, but then she can just give one little head tilt with those big blue eyes, and I'm over it!

You didn't choose to have a toddler, you chose to have a baby. A toddler is just one of the side benefits! ;)

Don't despair, dear Erin. This too shall pass. Things get much easier, I promise!!! And it's so worth it in the end!
