Lovely photo! (I can only see the first one...are there more?) I have a 35 mm prime lens and I love it. The 50 mm is great, too!

i can't live without my 17-50mm 2.8 and when i'm not using that one, i use my 70-300mm which is a f/4.....

BUT i would love a 50 1.4.....hello santa :)

i don't use my macro that often but i when i do, she's a honey.....it's a 100mm 2.8

The 50mm 1.8 is a great, inexpensive workhorse of a lens! And I love my 100mm 2.8 Macro, too!

Lots of good lenses mentioned here - I'd get the 50mm f/1.8 first, then after you practice with it for a while you'll probably know what kind of lens you want next. And it's fairly inexpensive.

But I am completely in love with my 17-55 f/2.8, if you have the money to totally splurge.

Erin the photos are lovely. So nice that you're exploring yet another talent.

Don't know how you do it while recovering from a migraine. Hope you feel better.

Erin,
It looks like your making friends with your DSLR. I love to shot with my EF-S 55-250mm telephoto lens when I'm "Barn Hunting".

You have a good eye, Erin. These are so pretty. I know nothing about lenses...will ask my kids. I'm still coveting your camera....My point and shoot just doesn't cut it. Trying to be content...

Happy Fall!

Hi Erin! You are really getting the hang of your new camera! I am shooting almost exclusively with my 50mm1.4 . People kid me about it but it works hard for me!
