I Love: Cappuccino

I don't like coffee. Never have. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the nirvana-inducing elixir known as cappuccino! How could coffee, concentrated within an inch of it's life and added to milk, be so delicious when coffee was so, well, not?

Illy was my first brand. It is still my favorite. Like silk in a cup.

I do take it with a bit of sugar.

And a macaroon on the side would be lovely, too.

Ou un croissant. Ce serait particulièrement gentil. (lest you think I am some language master, I translated this using Babelfish. In Russian, this statement would be "Или круасант. То было бы в частности славно.")

I do enjoy the iced chicory coffee from Cafe du Monde. Of course, it has some sugar in it, so that helps. And those beignets aren't to shabby either.

I would be remiss without mentioning the megalith, aka, Starbucks. They make a damn fine peppermint mocha frappuccino. And Marsha, my favorite local barista, always gives my daughter extra whipped cream.

I really don't drink cappuccino that often. I'm more of a tea gal. But occasionally, I need a jolt (today would have been one of those days). And on those days, I Love Cappuccino!

Fun post. I myself like coffee. I now drink decaf everyday. My poor nervous system (jitters) and heart (palpitations) do not like caffeine anymore. The best decaf I get is from a shop that makes a shot of decaf espresso, then pours it into a cup with extra hot water and a splash of half and half.

Wonderful images and as soon as I send this off I'll go make another half a pot of Wallingford French Vanilla. :)

Somewhere I saw a poster: Coffee! You can sleep after you die.

Yes!

I think cappuccino was the first "fancy" coffee drink I ever tried-- Who else remembers back in the 80's when Nordstrom set up its very first espresso stands outside the store in the mall?! Wow. Must be "memories" day! It's all about the foam, baby. Haven't ordered one in years-- I will now. Nice pics.

You crack me up with the babelfish. I enjoy a good capp now and then, but can't stand coffee.

Cappuccinos are my fave way to have coffee too. I love all the froth on top! I usually just drink coffee when I am somewhere social, I tell people I'm a social drinker... :)

A centimeter of espresso in a big coffee cup and a gallon of milk and sugar...that's my go-to :)
